Nip Tuck’s 2020 Remodeled Homes Tour Experience

remodeled homes tour 2023

As mentioned in previous blog posts, this year’s 2020 Remodeled Homes Tour took place on Saturday, October 24th and went virtual for the first time. Throughout our years of participating in this wonderful event, we had grown accustomed to meeting with you in-person, sharing smiles, and shaking hands. It is safe to say that Nip Tuck and all of our peers within the industry were unsure of how a virtual tour would work. And though we miss the days of in-person interaction, we knew this virtual experience was still an amazing opportunity to meet with potential clients and showcase our work. Afterall, there is always a first time for everything!

Nip Tuck’s 2020 RHT Projects

I am happy to report that the event was a success! We shared two of our favorite projects with you – the Beautiful Blue Island Kitchen and Luxurious, Modern Kitchen & Bath. Most importantly, we were lucky enough to work closely with our fellow builders to create a memorable tour.

Planning for the 2020 Remodeled Homes Tour

For the past several months, the Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish County held bi-weekly meetings to ensure that RHT went off without a hitch. It was so much fun to work collaboratively with the other builders and brainstorm marketing techniques! All of us helped each other and made sure that we had the same access to tools that could make this virtual experience more meaningful. I truly feel that this camaraderie is woven into the tour and that you can tell tremendous thought went into each page.

Virtual Interaction During the Tour

Each builder was also given creative freedom and could choose which virtual tools they would use. Some used Calendly to schedule informational calls, while others had contact information leading to their website. A few of the builders used a green screen to virtually “insert” themselves within the space. It was as though they were physically in a kitchen or bathroom explaining features to participants.

Nip Tuck was on stand-by during the event to answer any questions via Zoom that attendees may have had. We also had inserted Loom videos in our project “hotspots” that showed our designer explaining different elements of each project.

A Successful Event

Overall, our team enjoyed interacting with you and sharing our experience with the other builders throughout the day. Aside from general interest, we also received kudos from past clients and fellow designers. We were grateful it was such a wonderful experience for all involved! We might just have to do it again in the Spring.
