A Summary of Key Responsibilities:
- Understand and communicate the upstream/downstream implications of client choices, selections, and workflow changes
- Create a beautiful and accurately represented design that is better than the client imagined and completely buildable
- Demonstrating awareness of subtle social cues, predict client needs and prepare for meetings to inform and educate
- Meet each client where they are at in knowledge and interest for details; set expectations regarding the design schedule, articulate your creations and concepts with accurate images
- Arrange and hold weekly client meetings to educate guide, and select materials, finishes and fixtures throughout the Puget Sound
- Strong knowledge of cabinetry details, responsible for ordering cabinets as well as various selected materials
- Previous use of Chief Architect
- Final construction set including demo, framing, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical floorplans. Elevations to include windows, doors, and other finish material schedules that clarify patterns, placement, and visual inspiration for finished look
- Every remodel has some mysteries; you show up ready to discover ways to conquer challenging surprises

Qualifications should include:
· Proficient with Chief Architect (Design principles, programming framework, modeling, best practices for accurate floorplans, elevations, renderings, and file management)
· Residential construction experience – 5 or more years; Certificate, AA or Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field preferred; NKBA certified Kitchen and Bath Designer a plus
· Experience in a Design/Build environment is a plus; ability to clearly discuss it during the interview process is a must
· Proactively and effectively create winning solutions in any client situation by skillful management (situation examples may include: unclear requirements, scope creep, budget constraints, stakeholder disagreements, technical complexity, timeline pressures, or risk aversion)
· Resolve issues with empathy AND find ways to validate and reinforce their decision to select us for their project

This position reports direct to the Director of Operations and is a principal leadership role. Some of the key responsibilities:
- Oversee the company’s production schedule
- Oversee the financial success of the projects (15-20 a year)
- Responsible for the allocation of staff & resources as it pertains to construction
- Responsible for bench retention & recruitment of trade partners & carpenters
- Develop and maintain efficiencies, systems and processes for the department
- Oversee departmental training and lead weekly production department meetings
- Direct, measure, and report progress towards project and organizational goals
- Hire, manage and evaluate production – (1) Assistant Project Manager, (1) staff carpenter and plan additional staff, as needed
- Project Manage 2-4 projects per year
Required Experience / Skills:
- Extensive experience in residential construction, estimating, budgeting and oversight a must
- Managerial background a must
- Must have a college degree or trade school training and be detail oriented and well organized
- Professionalism and above average communication skills
- Comfortable with technology
- Ability to read & interpret blueprints
- Valid WA state drivers license & reliable transportation
