10 of April’s Favorite Project Features

As we celebrate 10 years of business this year, Nip Tuck company owner April looked back on her top ten favorite remodeling project features. Every project the Nip Tuck team has worked on has given us fond memories of transforming the space. We loved every detail, both big and small. Check out the below list of features to see April’s personal favorites.

Woodinville custom kitchen and family room - Gorgeous, classic, and Modern Fireplace

Fireplaces are often a project feature that can make an impact. This once traditional and dark media corner and fireplace was transformed into a light and warm space by incorporating stacked stone with porcelain, a live edge mantle, and linear fireplace.

Full-height Tile Feature Wall

This was an award winner – The dramatic effect of back lighting the floor-to-ceiling tile on in an otherwise traditional bathroom was a way to add a unique touch during their remodeling process. These are the things that really add value to the living space in your day-to-day life.

Kitchen Island with Built-In Swivel Seating

We built this beautiful island and incorporated two swivel seats for the kids. The homeowners had 4 of the seats originally and decided to reuse them. At the end of the island is an included buffet table.

Bath and Shower Room Combination with His/Her Vanity

This space was a multi-award-winning bathroom. My favorite parts are the his and her vanity, the soothing color scheme, and the tub and shower combo.

Custom Kitchen Island with Built-Up Stone and Height Increase

This custom island was created with two inches of extra height with two of our taller clients in mind. I love that the kitchen is also bold in color!

Sentimental Piece – Heirloom Butcher Block

This project won a first-place national award! The butcher block was special and had been passed down throughout the family. When we first met with the clients, the butcher block was collecting dust in their dining room. We asked them if we could use it for the kitchen and they agreed.

Beverage Center and Island for Everyday Seating

The client for this project knew that she wanted to add something special to her space that was both functional and unique. We recommended a beverage center and she was sold! However, the gorgeous blue island still takes center stage.

Master Bath Feature Wall with Custom LED Panels

Early on, we had the vision of this stunning LED Panel wall in this bathroom but had no idea how to pull it off. With some outside expertise and creativity, we were able to pull it off! This is still one of the most unique master bathroom features we have executed to date.

Custom Staircase with Steel and Stair Nose Lighting

When we first began this project, the client had no way to get directly down to the deck from upstairs. We built a very custom set of stairs that are not only functional but elegant as well.

Kitchen Waterfall Feature and Quartzite Island with Crystal Pendants

This striking island waterfall edge won a 2017 award for “Coolest Project Detail”! Surprisingly enough, this quartzite island was not the client’s first choice but they ended up falling in love with the finished product. The overall space is very classy and glitzy.

Every project is a new opportunity to completely change a space and brighten our client’s lives! We look forward to adding more pieces to our “Favorite Feature” list as time goes on.

Every project the Nip Tuck team has worked on has left us all with fond memories of transforming the space. We loved every detail, both big and small. However, we often enjoy reminiscing about past project features that really stood out!
