Cottage Lake Dream Kitchen & Laundry Remodel
A Gorgeous & Graceful Kitchen Transformation

These clients desperately wanted to transform their primary bath into a spacious, spa-like retreat.
Challenge
Our clients recently purchased this home in Cottage Lake, but didn’t love the layout. The kitchen was cramped and unremarkable, the laundry space was lacking and the family strongly disliked the staircase. Our team needed to come up a solution that included:
- Adding in a more functional user-friendly laundry room
- Create a more welcoming, open kitchen floor plan
- Make rooms feel more connected, eliminated “dead space”
Solution
To create that breathtaking open space, we first had to rethink the layout, which meant relocating the kitchen and adding a new door and easier access to the outdoor entertaining areas. We took the old breakfast nook and converted it into an enlarged laundry and mudroom that’s pleasantly calming with seafoam blue cabinetry, geometric backsplash and rich black quartz countertop.
Removing a structural wall connected the previously isolated living room to the kitchen. In contrast to their previously all-white kitchen, we added classic rich navy cabinetry to the kitchen matched with gold hardware, open shelving and a floor-to-ceiling backsplash. A butler’s pantry completed the remodel featuring its own gorgeous backsplash, vivid geometric wallpaper and plenty of extra storage.
