  • Tell us a bit about your background
My father was a home builder and I grew up watching him build custom homes.  My first job was as a receptionist at Associated Sand & Gravel and I spent 15 years in the sand & gravel industry primarily in finance related roles.  In 2004, I moved to the remodeling industry as the General Manager of Shirey Handyman.  I went out on my own and founded Nip Tuck Remodeling in 2010 as a result of the great recession and have not looked back since.
  • How long have you been in the industry and how did you start out?
I’ve been in the industry my whole life both personally & professionally.  Nip Tuck Remodeling just celebrated our 10th Anniversary in November of 2020!   I am proud of the women of Nip Tuck.
  • What is your role at Nip Tuck and what do you love the most about your job?
I am the company owner & founder with an active role in sales & leadership.  I love meeting people, dreaming up what could be, and seeing the transformation in people’s lives. This work is transformative and I love what we do!
  • If you could go back in time, what advice would you give yourself when you were just starting out?
I would embrace more structure in my professional life early on because that is a learned trait. I would tell myself to have big goals and dream big!

  • Tell us a bit about your background
I was raised in the Greater Bay Area of California, earned a BA Interior Design from CA State Sacramento, then moved to Seattle. I lived in the South of France for a school year – what a wonderful experience! I have worked in the design and construction field since 2002 and am a trained Birth Doula; I have attended around 10 births!
  • How long have you been in the industry and how did you start out?
My first job was in interior design at the Design Galleria by Valentine in Sacramento. Then, I started in cabinetry sales at Lowe’s. I transferred to a Seattle area store in 2005, and was plucked out of there by a local millwork shop. NKBA Puget Sound was instrumental in building a network and expanding my opportunities.
  • What is your role at Nip Tuck and what do you love the most about your job?
I am a designer, I love working with our awesome clients to create beautiful, comfortable spaces they want to live in. Also, I love anything made of wood: cabinets, flooring, etc. Mother Nature at her finest!
  • If you could go back in time, what advice would you give yourself when you were just starting out?
Get more involved in industry groups, meet more professionals, put yourself out there NOW! Go get it, it won’t wait for you.
