With a floor plan established, we added finishes to suit both the home and the client – as they were not one and the same. In the kitchen we mixed the traditional white shaker cabinets and subway tile with the contemporary dark stain slab island cabinets. The quartz countertop was the unifying piece. While the colors and materials are classic, the tile set for the backsplash is modern, as are the appliances, the pendant lights, and the mix of metal finishes! In the family room a new linear fireplace, with tile emulating distressed metal, dark sleek cabinetry, and one piece mantle completed the transformation.
