This project was designed & built in 2012, and by using classic design principals and elegant, enduring products it is still relevant and just as stunning today as when we finished. It is a wonderful opportunity to create a space where the homeowner says proudly at the end “We got exactly what we dreamed of…we used to dream about the kitchen in the magazines and now we live in the picture…We couldn’t be happier with the result”.
She is the baker; he is the chef in a home nestled at the base of Mt. Si. The couple wanted a highly functional kitchen with a larger entertaining space that would amaze guests with unique granite, stunning tile design, distinctive lighting and outstanding cabinetry. And, they wanted their remodel to reflect the beauty and essence of their mountain setting.
Although the kitchen, dining, and living area were quite spacious overall, the old kitchen was cramped, dark, and sectioned off in a corner. The dining room was tiny! Our team designed a space that seamlessly married the kitchen and dining room by removing structural walls and built-in seating.
The Autumn Green granite captured the colors and detailed veining the clients envisioned; it became the island gem. The tile design was created precisely for the space between the range and the custom agapanthus hood cabinet. Taupe quartz counters were installed creating a frame for the island granite and a durable, green work surface.
