What makes a meaningful company retreat? For Nip Tuck Remodeling, the best retreats strike a balance between having fun with each other while simultaneously maximizing productivity and working towards our company goals. This year for the the Nip Tuck annual retreat, our team ventured out to Union, WA and took a couple of days to focus on our company motto “happiness guaranteed.”
The Correlation between Client and Team Happiness
The emphasis on “happiness guaranteed” was how it applies to each of us individually and as a team. As a group of service-oriented individuals, we spend the majority of our time working towards our client’s happiness and providing a top-notch remodeling experience. Throughout our years within the industry, we have come to recognize that there is a strong correlation between our client’s happiness and how content our team is.
Working through Friction
The Nip Tuck annual retreat began with the team sitting down and discussing the issues that they felt were hindering our company from reaching its full potential. We thought about how to streamline our processes, the technology we use, and how to better comply with COVID best practices. Everyone was allowed to speak freely and comfortably about how they felt about these topics. It made for a highly productive conversation. At the end of our meetings, we all walked away with a list of action items that would remedy each issue.
Enjoying Each Other
The retreat also allowed our already close-knit team to get to know each other on a more personal level and bond. We spent time enjoying socially distanced team meals and gathered around the campfire in the evenings. Our time together was full of camaraderie, stories, and several belly laughs. Most importantly, we developed a deeper understanding of each of our personalities and how we can work better together.
Preparing for 2021
Overall, we are so grateful for the opportunity to reevaluate what our team needs to be our best selves this upcoming year. The retreat was not only an important endeavor for the team, but it was also an investment in our clients, trade, and supporters! With continued efforts like this retreat, we will continue to live up to “happiness guaranteed.”
