Collaboration: The Key to a Great Contractor Experience

For the last several months, we’ve been exploring the core values that Nip Tuck Remodeling uses to guide our work not only with clients but with colleagues, the community, and each other. Our six core values – transparency, integrity, communication, collaboration, learning, and service – are the guiding principles by which our company operates. If you haven’t yet read the first four parts in this series, I encourage you to take the time to do so.

Transparency, Communication, and Accountability: The Keys to a Great Relationship with Your Design-Build Team

A Good Contractor Is a Good Advocate

Why Integrity Matters with Your Contractor

Communication Matters When You’re Remodeling Your Home

This month, we’re talking about the importance of collaboration. At Nip Tuck, we define collaboration as working together with a diverse group to achieve goals.

There are two sides to collaboration in our work.

First, we collaborate with our clients.

We really do want you, the homeowner, to be part of the team – to communicate your goals and desires about how your house will function, to provide input about your vision, and to let us know how we can help you transform your living space into what you’ve always dreamed it could be and more. Not every contractor you come across will be interested in having the client as part of the team, but for us it’s an absolute necessity.

The second side to our core value is collaboration among the varied professionals with whom we work.

Depending upon the size and complexity of your project, the team members will vary. Each member – the architect, designer, and contractor – as well as special experts like plumbers, electricians, and our vendors are a big part of the success of each project.

Collaboration among all the professionals who work in and on your home remodeling project is essential. We take great pride in our work and we are very particular about the people we hire and the trade partners that we invite onto our projects. Many of our partners have been with us for 5-10 years. We have high expectations and ask all of the professionals working on our projects to embrace our core values. We communicate often and well throughout the project, help each other, and work hard together to achieve your vision.

We believe that you should dream big. And we know that to make that dream come true requires all of us coming together to make it happen.

Don’t just take our word for it – read what our clients have to say:

“The ENTIRE Nip Tuck staff is so great to work with. This was my first remodeling project, so they guided me though the entire process which made it extremely smooth for me. And they don’t stop until every last detail is exactly as you wish. I highly recommend Nip Tuck to all my friends and family.” Tracy Simpson, Woodinville, WA – Kitchen and Interior Updates
